More on Exhibits and Workshops

Hi, everyone

I hope you are doing well.

Workshops

The Spring is finally here in earnest, and it is a great time to dust off your photo equipment and go out to shoot. Waterfalls are in full flow this time of year and are great subjects. My first workshop of the year are coming up in just one week. Come and join me at Wahconah Falls near Dalton in the Berkshires (May 10th). A week later (May 17th) we will travel to Enders Falls near Granby in Connecticut.

Big workshop announcements are coming up in the next couple of weeks. So, stay tuned!

I have recently finished teaching a successful class in editing, using Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. I’ve been cutting smaller video tutorials out of the longer class and posting them on my YouTube channel. Check them out! Here is one example.

New video coming out tomorrow. In this video I show how to take your images to the next level by blending elements from different exposures and adding a subtle Orton Glow effect in Photoshop.

Exhibits

Sadly, the “Panorama” exhibit at the Arts League of Lowell, and the “Life in Motion” online exhibit at the Cape Cod Art Center are coming to an end. If you want to see them, tomorrow is the last day for the “Panorama” exhibit, and Monday is the last day for the “Life in Motion” exhibit.

“Spring It On!” exhibit at the Plymouth Center for the Arts runs through May 11th. If you can’t make it to the center, you can view the online gallery here. Two of my pieces participate in this exhibit.

Cape Cod Art Center Camera Club has a juried members exhibit running through mid June at the Cape Cod Art Center. The exhibit is on the top floor and along the stairs. Two of my images participate in this exhibit.

Cape Cod Art Center will also have their “The Spring National” exhibit, starting May 12th (the opening reception is May 16th, 5-7pm). The shows at the center are always high level, and I am honored to have two of my images juried into this exhibit.

The Cape Cod Art Center will also have a very interesting exhibit called “Points of View”, which will run June 16th - July 11th. In this unique exhibit, photographers submitted their unedited images. subsequently, painters chose images they wanted to paint from that pool of images. The final exhibit will feature the unedited image, the painting version, and the final, edited photograph side-by-side. Two of my images were chosen, and I can’t wait to see the exhibit! Come join me at the opening reception for the exhibit on June 20th, 5-7pm.

Finally, two of my images were also juried into the 15th Annual “Fine Art of Photography” exhibit at the Plymouth Center for the Arts. The exhibit will run May 17th - June 22nd with the opening reception on May 17th, 4-6pm. I know several of the photographers whose work was juried into the exhibit as well, and this promises to be a very high level show. Come, check it out!

I am also planning to make a video how I print and frame one of the images for this exhibit. So, check out my YouTube channel if you are interested to see that.

This is it for the updates so far. As you can see, I am a busy bee these days.

Stay tuned for the big workshop announcements coming out in the next couple of weeks.

Have a great rest of your weekend

I hope to see you at some of the exhibits or at the Paradise City Northampton art fair coming at the end of the month (Memorial Day Weekend)!
