Looking Back at 2025: Exhibits, Awards, and More
Hi, everyone
I hope you are having a great holiday season!
It’s been a very busy year for me. Looking back, it is amazing just how much has happened. Check out the two posts looking back at my favorite images of 2025, or relax and watch a video showcasing these images and the stories behind them.
In this “definitely not a blog” post I will look back at the other things that were going on throughout the year. Check out the video below as well.
Gallery Memberships
Good Morning Sunshine
This was my second year as a Juried Artist Member at the Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable, Massachusetts. I also joined Plymouth Center for the Arts in Plymouth, Massachusetts, as an Artist Member at the beginning of this year. In November I was juried in as a Juried Artist Member at the Rockport Art Association and Museum in Rockport Massachusetts.
Here I should mention two additional galleries — Arts League of Lowell, and Decagon Gallery. Although I am not a member, I have participated in several juried exhibits in each of these during 2025.
Each of these communities offers a selection of incredible exhibits throughout the year, an opportunity to meet some amazing artists, and to push my work to the next level. It’s a real privilege being able to exhibit my work through these venues.
Exhibits and Recognition
Dunloup Falls 1. Won an Honorable Mention at Cape Cod Art Center “Impact of Color” exhibit
This year I participated in twenty-five exhibits across five galleries and one off-site venue, showing nearly thirty different images. A few of them even traveled to multiple shows.
After the Storm. Participated in three juried exhibits
Among all my pieces this year, one in particular stood out. My image Impressions of Autumn appeared in six exhibits, with one more coming in January. It also received an Honorable mention at the Points of View exhibit at the Cape Cod Art Center.
As a token of my appreciation I raffled a matted print of the Impressions of Autumn between my subscribers. Congrats to Ken Carter! I hope you enjoy the artwork in your home.

I was also part of the annual Small Stones Festival of the Arts in Grafton for the third year in a row. And I’m excited that two of my images will be included again in the 2026 show this January, where I have the honor to be invited to give an artist talk.
Fire and Ice. Won People’s Choice award at the Small Stones Festival of the Arts 2025
I was thrilled to receive several recognitions this year. Three of my images received Honorable Mentions, one earned an Editor’s Choice Award, and another won a People’s Choice Award.
Impressions of Winter. Received an Honorable Mention in the Spring National exhibit at the Cape Cod Art Center
And for the first time, one of my images, “Mist Over Lake Bled” placed in the top twenty-five of the Built Environment category at the Amateur Epson International Pano Awards, earning a silver badge.
Mist Over Lake Bled Pano. Finished in top 25 of the Built Environment of the Amateur International Epson Pano Awards for 2025
An honorable mention also has to go to my image “Frozen Breath” that won the Editor’s Choice award in the “Planet Earth” exhibit at the Decagon Gallery, and finished in the top two hundred and fifty, and almost made it into the top two hundred images for the International Landscape Photographer of the Year 2025.

Art Fairs
I also took part in eleven art fairs across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. These events are always energizing — nothing beats talking with people who are seeing your work for the first time. These fairs are also where I hear the best questions and feedback about my work, and they continue to shape how I print and present my images.

International Photo Trips
Travel was another big part of the year. I started the year with a winter trip to Slovenia and Croatia, and later in the year spent time photographing the Lake District in England. Check out some of my favorite images from these trips in the My Favorite Images of 2025: Part 1 and Part 2 posts, and in the video I put together.
Once Upon a Time. Lake Bled, Slovenia
I came home with some absolutely stunning images I am genuinely excited to share… though yes, I’m still behind on editing.
Sunset Over Rovinj. Rovinj, Croatia
Next year promises to be just as exciting in the International Travel department. If you would like to join me, a fellow New England photographer Rick Berk, and a Slovenian photographer Luka Esenko on an amazing photography adventure/s in the Italian Dolomites and/or Slovenia check out the links and a promotional video I put together.

YouTube Channel Milestone
In May this year I have also started a YouTube channel which has been a major highlight. We’ve just passed 500 subscribers, and I truly appreciate every single one of you who watches, comments, or supports the channel in any way.
Turbulent Strata
Next year, expect more behind-the-scenes videos, trip breakdowns, some reviews, and editing walkthroughs. For an example, check out this video were I give a talk about how I plan and prepare for my shoots, or the videos on printing color and black and white images for an exhibit. Let me know what kinds of videos you’d like to see more of next year.
Dreamland. Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
Whew… looking back, it really was an incredible year. It’s hard to believe how much happened. I hope next year is just as productive and exciting. Thank you again for all your incredible support. I hope you will come back for more next year as well. If you enjoyed this look back, leave a comment, check out the other “definitely not blog” posts, and the videos on my YouTube channel.
Here are a few more images that were exhibited throughout 2025.
