Lightroom Classic Editing for Landscape Photography

and a Little Photoshop

Six live online sessions | 4–12 participants | Small-group instruction

October 28 – December 9, 2026

Tentative time: 6:30–9:00 p.m. ET | Zoom or Microsoft Teams

Price: $250

When? Sessions on October 28th, November 4th, 11th, 18th, December 2nd, and 9th. The class will run (tentatively) 6:30-9:00pm via either Zoom or Teams

Good editing isn't about pushing sliders, it is about translating what you saw and felt in the field into the finished photograph. In this six-session online class, we'll build a complete Lightroom Classic-based workflow for landscape photography, from organizing and developing your files to advanced masking, panoramas, exposure blending, and selected Photoshop techniques.

The final session will focus on editing participant images from start to finish. Sessions will be recorded and made available to participants together with the image files used in class.

The Experience

This class is designed to move from Lightroom Classic fundamentals to a complete, repeatable editing workflow. The emphasis is not simply on learning what individual tools do, but on understanding when and why to use them to shape a finished landscape photograph.

  • Build a strong Lightroom foundation, including importing, catalog organization, core adjustments, and presets.

  • Learn how to separate global and local adjustments and use masks to make increasingly precise edits.

  • Work with bracketed exposures and panoramic captures, from shooting considerations through merging and final editing.

  • Use Photoshop selectively for specialized tasks that extend Lightroom, including focus stacking, creative effects, and exposure blending.

  • Bring the techniques together in a complete start-to-finish edit during the final session.

  • Review session recordings after class and work with the same image files used during demonstrations.

Is This Class For You?

This class is intended for photographers who want to become more confident and intentional in Lightroom while learning when Photoshop can add useful capabilities to the workflow.

It is especially well suited to landscape photographers who want to move beyond basic global adjustments, gain better control through masking, and develop a consistent process from initial import through the finished image.

Because enrollment is limited to twelve participants, the class is designed to allow discussion, questions, and individualized attention while still benefiting from a small-group learning environment.
