A Unique Exhibit and Quick Updates

Hi, everyone

I hope you are having a great week.

Just a few quick updates.

There still a few days to see the wonderful annual “Fine Art of Photography” exhibit at the Plymouth Center for the Arts (or at least check out the online gallery). The Spring National exhibit at the Cape Cod Art Center sadly had come to an end. It was a good exhibit for me as one of my two pieces received an Honorable Mention award for photography, and the other piece sold on the last day of the exhibit.

A new, and unique exhibit had started at the Cape Cod Art Center. The exhibit is called “Points of View”. The unique part is that in this show, painters and photographers interpret the same scene. When the art call came, photographers submitted their unedited (or lightly edited images). Painters then chose images to interpret. If the image was chosen, the photographer then would finish the editing process, and the two pieces will be shown side by side at the exhibit. Hence, the “Points of View” name. This is a very unusual show, and I am super excited to see it. The show will run June 16th - July 11th. The opening reception is going to be on June 20th, 5-7 PM. Come check it out and meet me at the reception!

If you are interested to see a behind the scenes video how I printed these two images for the exhibit, check it out.

Finally, a YouTube channel update. Aside from the above video, I am posting new content every week. For example, check out these videos on editing flower images from the Arnold Arboretum in Boston.

I have also started a series of videos, looking at how you can use AI chatbots such as ChatGPT and Gemini to help you improve your photography. The first video looked at getting general feedback on your image and came out last Saturday. The second video on refining your crops is going to drop the upcoming Saturday.

I am working hard to add more content on the channel. If you find this type of videos useful, consider subscribing nd getting notifications when new videos drop.

Well, that’s it for now.

Thank you and have a great rest of your week

Dimitry
